Kaitlyn Gavrelis, MS, CCC-SLP
Owner | Clinician
Hi! I'm Kaitlyn, a nationally certified and Maryland state licensed speech-language pathologist specializing in pediatric play-based therapy. My clinical interests are gestalt language processing (scripting/echolalia) and am NLA-trained, stuttering, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) and early language development.

I earned both my bachelor's (2017) and master's (2019) degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from Towson University. Since then, I've gained clinical experience working in the public separate day school setting & private practice.
​
Outside of work, you can find me practicing yoga, taking care of my plants, or daydreaming about the beach.

Swell Speech is passionate about play-based, child-led therapy services because relationship-based learning is where the magic happens.

It takes a village and at Swell Speech Therapy we believe family and caregiver support is paramount in successful communication. We strive to make collaboration natural and empowering so that our clients gain the benefits.

Every swell starts as a small ripple that increases in size as it travels across the sea before breaking into surging waves. The smallest ripple of connection through language can create powerful waves of communication. The opportunity to communicate how, when, and what you want is a foundational aspect of being human.
